Walking To & On the Red Carpet

With the end of summer came the traditional start of TV's new "season".  This has meant both some work & some play for me within the entertainment world.  The kickoff began with the premier of Amazon Prime's new series "Hand of God".  A friend of mine worked with the creator/producer of this show (seen below in the tux) years ago, and she offered for me to go as her "plus 1" when she received her invitation.  The producers pulled out all of the stops, and we experienced a red-letter night as we rubbed shoulders with some heavyweights in the business.

The week of the Emmy Awards, the same friend hooked me up once again for a panel discussion with writer's nominated for their work this past year on TV's top shows.  Since she was in charge of planning this event, she put me on the VIP list which included a reception before and reserved seating for the discussion.  A mutual friend joined us, and we made the most of our glittering gals' night.

All play and no work, though, will never get my career where I want it, so I interviewed & was accepted into 2nd year of the 2 year Meisner program I started last year.  Just about the time classes picked back up, Backstage magazine came out with it's list of Reader's Choice Awards...to which my acting coach won the Readers' Choice for Acting School or Coach.  Guess I chose wisely!  Below is the article about him & the school.

Here's hoping for more red carpets...for both work & play!
