Festive Fall Weekend in Salzburg

We spent the past weekend reliving wonderful memories of our romantic engagement, 2 magical Christmases, a fun trip with mom & dad, and a few other stops to one of my favorite cities in the world...Salzburg, Austria. The crisp air, colorful leaves, and fall festival that took place in one of the main squares also brought a new excitement for us as we had never experienced Salzburg during this season. The scenery was breathtaking, and as always, music filled the air. We took several picturesque walks, shopped along the narrow streets of old town, and attended a string ensemble concert at Mirabelle Palace...regular activities on our visits to this charming town. During our stroll through the festival activities, we stopped to listen to a lively oompa band and watch children playing with (and itching from) big bales of hay. Once again, as in our other trips to Salzburg, we fell more in love with this special place and no doubt will be drawn back for other visits in the future.
