Joie de Vivre

Since Ken is currently working in France, we decided to meet up this past weekend in Lyon for some fun and relaxation. Although we traveled to Lyon a few years ago, we still delighted last weekend in wandering the memorable cobblestone streets full of Renaissance, Gothic and Romanesque architecture while at the same time, discovering new gems of the city like the Fine Arts Museum and the Miniature and Movie scenery Museum. We strolled through the Parc de la TĂȘte d'Or with its wide open spaces where families sat enjoying helium balloon sized cotton candy or used the paths to ride bicycles and skate. Evening in Lyon provides a lovely atmosphere as the city illuminates many of its famous sights and churches perched along the hillside, and because the city is known as the French capital of gastronomy, charming restaurants abound at every corner. Here are some pictures from our fun filled weekend.
