Thankful Hearts

During this season of Thanksgiving, Ken and I have so much for which to be thankful. For me, one of the biggest thanks came with Ken flying over to spend a week in LA with me. We hiked our favorite spot, Griffith Park, which houses the Hollywood Sign, and with this trek, we ventured above the sign so that we looked at it from above. We also learned the history of Max Factor in relation to the movie industry as well as famous Hollywood Stars including Lucille Ball and Marilyn Monroe at the Hollywood Museum housed in the original Max Factor headquarters. Over and over again, friends make the top of our “thankful” list, and Thanksgiving Day proved why. About a dozen friends from our church bible study group joined in celebrating the holiday together, each person bringing one of the traditional dishes. It was a special time with people who quickly took us into their “family” over the past few months and left us feeling blessed.
