Ken’s mom made her first visit to our new home as well as her first journey to Los Angeles. Needless to say, we had much to show her and kept her going at break neck speed to pack in as much as we could. Naturally, we made stops at Santa Monica Beach, Beverly Hills, and overlooks of the city including the Hollywood sign.
We toured Hollywood Blvd. with its stars,
hand prints, and the Hollywood Museum which details the lives of some of
Hollywood's greats in the former Max Factor building, the make-up behind
Hollywood legends.
We also made our way to Long Beach where the former luxury cruise liner, the Queen Mary, permanently sits allowing visitors to tour the ship and see the special exhibitions on the royal family and the ship's usage during WWII.
Finally, we paid a visit to the former home of Will Rogers, gaining a glimpse into the life of a remarkable man and fascinating entertainer.
Although there is plenty more for her to see, we will save those places for next time…to which we look forward.
