Although Ken and I have spent much time in London and even lived there for a brief period, we never tire of visiting and taking in the city’s distinctive sights. For our 4 day Easter weekend, we did just that. Despite sporadic daily snow showers, we took in as many of our favorite locals and activities as we could. We walked for hours one afternoon passing by The Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater, Big Ben & Parliament, and of course, Buckingham Palace. We loved spending an afternoon wandering through Harrods with its fabulous food stalls, formal hats, unique gifts, antiques, etc. We saw 2 shows including “The 39 Steps” which burst with true British Humor. We couldn’t imagine seeing it anywhere else!

This trip also allowed us many opportunities to stroll down memory lane. The summer that Ken and I met, he spent several weeks in Europe. While in London, he discovered a restaurant that he felt certain we would some day enjoy together. He took one of the leather bound menus and sent it to me by mail. It has been one of our London favorites ever since, so naturally, we popped in for some of the best fish and chips in the city. We completed our trip with an afternoon teatime. The scones, jam and clotted cream along with all of the other tasty treats made us feel like true Brits. Every turn of this trip brought back amazing memories, and we left having made many more!
