Two of our favorite things about living in London include the many places to visit and the friends with whom to share those experiences. Right now, we have our fingers crossed that our friends Winnie & Ayin, who we know from our time in Switzerland, remain in London rather than relocating to Asia.

We have shared many meaningful conversations and moments full of laughter over numerous dinners around the city. A few weeks ago when Ken received a big promotion at work, they gladly joined in celebrating the excitement with us. They have introduced us to many Asian restaurants around town, but that night, they showed us a bit of "home" at a placed called The Big Easy. Not only did it serve the best bbq we have had outside of the US...it also provided the perfect atmosphere for the exciting occasion.

They also recently discovered the appeal of our day hikes through the English countryside and the fun of exploring castles and manor houses off the beaten path. Despite taking a wrong turn more than once, the lively atmosphere and friendly banter remained. It is amazing how certain people can add so much with a simple friendship. Here’s hoping they stay in our part of the world!
