Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

Over the past few weeks, time with friends and family in the US gave us much to celebrate. My oldest niece, Moriah, turned 11, and we celebrated her actual birthday with a lunch at one of her favorite spots, Chili's, followed by pizza and games at Gatti Town the next weekend with all of her cousins and a couple of friends.

The second bit of excitement came when Jeff, my twin brother, was named the new principal for Midway High School in the Waco, Texas area. My mom and I got to attend the school board meeting along with Jeff and his wife, Kara. I felt truly honored to be a part of this special event and beamed with pride as the board unanimously voted to hire Jeff for this position. In keeping with the principal theme, Jeff's oldest son, Hunter, won the role of principal for the day at his elementary school, and we visited his school that day to see him in action. He proved to be quite the charmer and looked adorable all dressed up.

We also saw my youngest nephew, Hayden, learning how to play t-ball. Funny how interesting 4 and 5 year olds can find grass, shoe laces, and birds instead of the play in progress. Regardless, they sure looked cute! Finally, we spent a fun couple of hours strolling down memory lane as we watched Hayden and Hunter play games at a school carnival making us feel like kids again.

Thanks family for giving opportunities to cheer you on and celebrate your lives! We love you!
