Curving Canals & Winsome Waterways

The intricate waterways of the floating city of Venice captures hearts and imaginations of people young and old. Whether receiving a serenade by a gondolier while floating along the canals or throughout dinner by a local accordionist, love and enchantment mingle in the air. The city is also full of stories of adventure, history and intrigue with names like explorer Marco Polo, composer Vivaldi, and womanizer Casanova. Our very first trip here years ago taught us that "getting lost" provides as much entertainment as paying for a museum or event, and upon our return this summer, we actually scheduled time to meander aimlessly around the curving passageways. Not only did we eventually "find our way" during our jaunt, but we also found fun, romance, and the best gelato place in the world.

Such a fun looking trip. I would never make it on the curving canals, but I surely would love some of the gelato.
