It's hard to believe how quickly time flies until I realize that we have had
our Belgian address and posted on this blog for almost 6 years. Bitter-sweetly,
the time to say goodbye to Brussels has finally arrived. Even as I type
this, the movers are here bubble wrapping knick-knacks, boxing books, and
crating furniture. Occasions like this generally cause one to stop and
reflect, and we are no exception. The past few weeks found our minds filled
with memories of exciting adventures, fascinating world travels, and
engaging personal development all of which stretched our
physical, emotional and intellectual boundaries. What struck us most,
though, were the visits by numerous treasured friends and family members. We
know that Brussels doesn't rank highly on many "must visit" lists so the
fact that these people tacked on extra days and travel expenses to their
trips just to see us or even made us the main attraction deeply moved our hearts. Thanks to those of you who
came and for adding your special touch to our lives in Belgium! We will
carry those moments in our hearts always!
