Much of Europe just enjoyed a long holiday weekend. Ken and I took advantage of that extra day and spent the weekend in The Netherlands. We wandered around the lovely canals of Amsterdam, visited a couple of breathtaking castles, strolled through a charming open-air village museum, and were moved by the stories and exhibits at the Dutch Resistance Museum. Ken even tried the smoked fish while I settled for the sweet, mini-pancake poffertjes. A wonderful weekend of windmills and wooden shoes!
